GEOMETRY DEF: Geometry is a branch of mathematics that studies the sizes, shapes, positions angles and dimensions of things. Flat shapes like squares, circles, and triangles are a part of flat geometry and are called 2D shapes.



GEOMETRY IT DIVIDES INTO TWO PARTS: 

1. AREA: the area can be defined as the space occupied by a flat shape or the surface of an object. The area of a figure is the number of unit squares that cover the surface of a closed figure.

2. VOLUMEN:  volume can be defined as the 3-dimensional space enclosed by a boundary or occupied by an object. Here, the blocks and books take up space. Volume of basic solid geometric shapes like cubes and rectangular prisms can be determined using formulas.
